An interim fire safety
certificate is a certificate issued under Environmental
Planning and Assessment Regulations 2000 (EPAR) by the owner of a
building to the effect that each essential fire safety measure
specified in the current fire safety schedule for the part
of the building to which the certificate relates has:
The assessment of the fire safety measures must have been carried out within 3 months prior to the date on which the interim fire safety certificate is issued. A copy of the interim fire safety certificate must be forwarded to the Fire Commissioner of NSW Fire Brigades, and the owner must cause a copy of the interim fire safety certificate, together with a current copy of the "fire safety schedule" to be prominently displayed for the occupiers in the building.
